WORKLINKS TAKE THE CHECKED FLAG AT WILLOWBANK

Ten lucky young people received special invitations to meet drivers and
watch practice at the Fuchs Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway today.
The participants from Worklinks Inc, 'Youth Connections programme', were
offered the special treat by Team Bray racing , 1320 Racecars and Willowbank
Raceway.
The participants had been chosen as a reward because they had displayed
the values that are encouraged in the Youth Connections programme.
During the visit, the participants met some of Drag Racing elite - Victor
& Ben Bray the 9 times national championship winning father and son
team, well respected race car designer Grant O'Rourke from 1320 Race Cars
and ANDRA TV presenter Dean Neal.
The young people witnessed some of life's virtues, such as striving to
achieve excellence, teamwork and good sportsmanship, in action, as drivers
and support crew prepare for the largest drag racing event held outside
of North America.
Team Bray Principal - Victor Bray: "The day out offered more
than just a chance to feel part of an international sporting event".
Of course the young people were really excited about the chance of seeing
the cars and drivers but the visit to one of the world's great drag racing
events also reinforced many of the lessons at their youth connections
programme".
Willowbank Raceway's Managing Director, Steve Bettes: "The
youth were able to relate what they saw to different aspects of what they
see back in their youth connections program, supporting everything from
mathematics and science through to advertising, marketing and Television
production".

was a wonderful opportunity for our young participants to experience this
exciting industry and gain information about possible future career prospects".
