DOUBLE DUTY'S FOR BRAY AT FUCHS WINTERNATIONALS

Ben Bray is gearing up for his own adrenaline pumped double up Challenge
at this week-end's FUCHS Winternationals. With entries is his regular
bracket of Top Doorslammer he will also be back behind the wheel of the
Karl and Tina Hammoud Factory Extreme Toyota.
Just over 4 weeks ago at the Nitro Champs Ben gave Karl and Tina the taste
of victory when except for a couple of close shaves with wall Ben went
undefeated to win the final. This win puts Ben only 30 points behind series
leader Rod Harvey.
Ben Bray: "I am currently 5th in Doorslammer and with
a bit of luck this week end I could finish the season in 4th, Dad is in
7th and he is only 10 points behind Martyn in 6th so he too could finish
up the ladder a bit. We have had a lot of new parts arrive from the USA
for our Sidchrome Top Doorslammers so I am really looking for to pealing
her ears back during the 4 qualifying sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
We would have liked to have a few test runs before the week end but unfortunately
the last week or so Willowbank has had quite a lot of rain but as long
as it stays away for the Winternats.
With the factory Extreme deal Karl and Tina have only this season taken
ownership of the car and I have been helping Karl to get his own Licence
and in return they have been letting me drive the car on race week ends.
While we are on this subject I would just like to take this opportunity
to thank Karl and Tina Hammoud and all the crew for giving me a great
car to drive. Bring on the Winters that's all I have got to say."
Karl Hammoud: " It has been great having Ben to teach
me how to get a handle on the car, I am about 60% through getting my own
racing licence but I am by no means in the position to drive at Ben's
level. After the success we had at the Nitro champs we had a family discussion
about should I finish getting my licence and may qualify for the event
or leave Ben in the car and have a go at winning the championship. My
family unanomos decision was leave Ben in the car and have a red hot go
at the Championship that concludes at the Jamboree in September".
The FUCHS Winternationals is the final round of the 2011/2012 ANDRA Pro
Series Championship and it will be a good opportunity for the Team Bray
to test their newly acquired hardware in readiness for the first round
of the 2012/13 season.
